Standardized Photos

Many of the before and after images on social media today are misleading, showcasing results that are more a product of clever photography than actual treatment efficacy. For instance, using a flash can create an illusion of smoother skin, while subtle adjustments in facial positioning can exaggerate treatment results of a jawline. To get an accurate sense of treatment outcomes, look for consistency in lighting, posing, and facial expressions. Check that the subject has a clean face, identical lighting, and a consistent facial position (with the nose tip in line with the ear tragus). A solid-colored background and similar facial expressions also help. By paying attention to these details, patients can get a more realistic understanding of what a treatment can achieve, and practitioners can build trust and credibility in the aesthetic medicine community.

We love to take pictures and show them to the world.
